Why coffee and blueberries? The two ingredients share two potent polyphenols , Caffeic acid and Quinic acid . It is this molecular harmony that not only creates a deep, complex flavor, but also contributes to the ability to reduce inflammation, reduce oxidative stress and stabilize blood sugar.

So what does the essence of fermented blueberries and coffee taste like? Like other fermented foods, Essensur offers a complex and acidic profile, where the flavor nuances have had time to develop through the slow fermentation process. Expect deep, sophisticated notes that bring to mind dark chocolate, caramel, and Pinot noir wine.

We have let many Danes taste our Essensur at festivals and markets, and their verdicts range widely. Some believe that the taste of "Jul" hits the spot, while others see it as the perfect partner for game meat or as a marinade for fish before baking . We were especially impressed when creative souls used Essensur to make their own instant kimchi and discovered how simple it was to ferment cabbage overnight with our product as a starter.

The essensur acts as your shortcut to playing with ingredients in your everyday life: Quickly whip up healthier dressings, or make your own fermented vegetables without any complicated processes or specialized knowledge. Recommended with: baked carrots, chanterelles, avocado, cabbage, fish, game meat, as well as lentil and legume dishes.
