It's perfect for sauces and salad dressings - and is great to use when making sushi. The essensur creates a flavor contrast that brings any dish to life. In addition to being indispensable in dressings, pickles and marinades, it also gives a wonderful boost to vegetable dishes, sauces, dips and drinks.

Our Essensur is a living product. It is unpasteurized, which means that all the beneficial lactic acid bacteria are still present in the bottle. This is also why Essensur should live in your refrigerator as soon as it is opened - this way you keep the good bacteria alive.

Want to try something new? Do as our food engineer does and use Essensur instead of lemon in your morning ginger shots . It was a huge hit at our tastings, and it's a trick that's incredibly easy to replicate at home in the kitchen.

Flavor profile: caramelized apples with dried apricots and light brandy notes.

Recommended with: dishes with peas, arugula, tomato, artichoke, carrots, bell pepper, eggplant, leek and green beans.

Ingredients: Mix of Danish apples directly from nurseries, cold brewed Rooibos tea, lactic acid bacteria ( Lactiplantibacillus plantarum) . 250 ml

Dressinger og marinader

  • Bland med olivenolie og en smule salt for en let og frisk salatdressing.
  • Brug som marinade til kylling, fisk og skaldyr eller tofu for at tilføje syrlighed og dybde.
  • Kombinér med sojasauce, sesamolie og honning for en fyldig og smagfuld vinaigrette.

Sushiris og syltning

  • Tilsæt den til varme ris sammen med lidt fermenteret salt for at skabe en duftende, frugt-infuseret sushiris.
  • Brug den til at sylte agurker, daikon eller rødløg for at skabe en god balance mellem syrlighed og naturlig sødme.

Saucer og dips

  • Rør den i ponzu-sauce for et ekstra pift.
  • Bland med miso og mirin for en sød-salt glaze til grillede grøntsager eller fisk.

Opbevares køligt og mørkt. Efter åbning skal den opbevares på køl, hvor den holder sig i mindst 6 måneder.
